Important Security Alert: Beware of Investment and impersonation scam
We’ve recently become aware of impersonation and investment scams involving Insignia financial and some of its employees. Several fraudulent profiles have been created, misusing the names and positions of some of our employees to falsely offer financial advice, term deposits and bonds. These impersonators are reaching out to individuals, requesting personal information and asking for money transfers under the pretence of purchasing products on our behalf.
Here are some signs that may indicate a scam email:
- Insignia Financial employees do not engage in unsolicited (cold) calls to promote products or business offerings, especially those not offered by Insignia Financial.
- A typo in the name of the company or the use of hyphen and email address that differs from the organisation’s usual email format, e.g., insigniafinancial.com.au versus insignia-au.com or insignia-compliance.com
- Emails originating from a public domain e.g., @gmail.com or @yahoo.com
Please be advised:
- We never ask for personal or financial information via unsolicited emails, phone calls and social media platforms.
- We do not request payments or money transfers for term deposits and bonds.
- Do not click on any suspicious links or respond to such communications.
Domains associated with this fraudulent activity include:
- insigniafinancial-am[.]com
- insigniafinancial.com-home-au[.]com
- insigniafinancial-portal[.]com
- insignia-compliance[.]com
- insignia-au[.]com
The safety and security of our clients is our top priority and we urge you to stay vigilant and be aware of potential scams.
