The IOOF Foundation is a separate entity to Insignia Financial Ltd and has its own independent Board of Directors. The Directors graciously commit their time and knowledge to ensure the grants remain true to the principles on which our Foundation was established.


Angie Dickschen

Chair
Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce (Melbourne University)

Previously a partner at Clayton Utz (1987-1994), in house legal counsel for the Gandel Group (1996-2000) and a partner with Freehills (2000-2004).

Previous Board appointments have included the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army and the Urban Land Corporation (now VicUrban).

Until recently has been running her own retail business.


Elizabeth A Alexander

Independent Non-Executive Director

Elizabeth Alexander is a Company Director and advisor with Ashurst International legal firm. She is currently the Chair of Medibank Private, anon-executive director of Dexus Property Group and Chancellor of University of Melbourne.

Elizabeth was the former Chair of CSL and also the former independent Chair of the Audit Committee of the Australian Prudential Regulator (APRA) and of the Risk and Audit Committee of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.  She is a former member of the Takeovers Panel and Deputy Chair of the Financial Reporting Council. As a former partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (1977-2002), she specialised in the area of risk management and corporate governance issues, and was responsible for the establishment of these practices within Australian.

Elizabeth has served on many government committees which have included the Trade Policy Advisory Committee of the Minister of Trade, the Small Business Council of Australia, the Australian Film Commission and the Gas and Fuel Corporation. Elizabeth is a past National President of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is a former National President of CPA Australia. It was during her Presidency of CPA Australia that the drive for legal backing to accounting standards in Australia was achieved.

She was a winner of the Veuve Cliquot Business Woman of the Year, is a former Chair of the Board of Advice to the Salvation Army in Australia, and is National President of the Winston Churchill Fellowship Trust. She is a member of the Order of Australia, and was awarded a Centenary medal.


John Selak

Independent Non-Executive Director
Dip Acc, FCC, FAICD

Mr Selak has over 40 years’ experience in the financial and advisory services industry. From 2000 to 2016 he was a partner in the Corporate Finance Practice of Ernst & Young, providing valuation services to a broad range of local and international clients and also serving on their Global Corporate Finance Executive.

Mr Selak is an Independent Non-Executive Director of IOOF Holdings Ltd.
